About Us

My name is Adrienne Hillary and my work as a coach, early childhood educator and equine assisted specialist is rooted in a lifelong connection to both children and horses. Born and raised in Boulder, CO I earned my MS with a minor in Early Childhood, from the University of Northern Colorado. Followed by a MA in Educational Psychology (K-12) from the University of Colorado Denver, through Boulder Journey schools' master program.

With nearly 25 years of experience in and out of the classroom as a teacher, parent and volunteer, I bring an understanding of child development, communication skills and human connection to the barn. While I am currently teaching @ Dawson School in Boulder, my greatest accomplishment is being a mother to my 3 beautiful children. In both my personal and professional life, I have always been committed to fostering growth, confidence and meaningful relationships.

I found my way back to the barn about 10 years ago, when my daughter discovered her love of horses, reconnecting me to my inner child and the passion at the very heart of my work with horses and children. By integrating my background in education, my ability to connect with clients and my training in Equine Assisted learning (EAL), I have developed a compassionate, relationship-based approach, that supports personal growth through hands-on groundwork with horses.

Meet the Therapists

This is Lulu, she is a 34 years old mare. Lulu was originally a barrel rider, but transitioned to a an amazing lesson horse here @ the barn. Lulu loves her job, working with children and lots of treats!

This is Honey, she is an 8 year old pony. Honey is the sweetest mare and she loves to jump. She loves lots of attention, having her mane brushed and lots of treats.

This is Secret, she is a 20 year old mare. Secret was the best broodmare, giving birth to 4 healthy babies over the years. This amazing mama is such a nurturer and although she's done having babies, she still has so much more love to give.
